The Unity Government’s decision to change the direction of TUTAP Electricity Grid from Bamiyan-Wardak to Salang is a prime example of the continuous discrimination and rampant corruption evident in the country.
Central Afghanistan is one of the most poorest and deprived regions in Afghanistan. Electricity would bring development into the region through infrastructure, the creations of thousands of jobs, and the possibility for a tourism industry to flourish. The Unity Government needs to review its decision and take into consideration the needs and demands of the people.
